Assistant Medical Director Hospital Medicine Hartford, CTWe are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Assistant Medical Director to join our hospital medicine team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care and clinical operations. Position Details The Assistant Medical Director (AD) will:
- Serve as part of the leadership team alongside the Practice Manager, Director, and other ADs.
- Support clinical operations, colleague development, and quality patient care delivery.
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical managers to achieve key performance indicators.
- Oversee clinical and administrative responsibilities, including: - Provider support and mentorship. - Clinical case reviews. - Addressing patient grievances and quality improvement initiatives. - HR-related issues within the division. - Recruitment, onboarding, and leadership development of staff. - Participation in hospital-wide initiatives and interdepartmental collaboration. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Administrator on Call, supporting providers and hospital administration.
- Review and address clinical care management and quality cases.
- Lead or participate in divisional and departmental meetings.
- Guide provider staff adherence to standards of care and organizational policies.
- Conduct morning huddles and unit progression rounds.
- Provide direct patient care and precept advanced practice providers. Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Practice.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- EMR experience preferred, EPIC familiarity a plus.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory policies.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care and customer service.
