American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for night shifts with at least one year of radiologic technologist experience and active ARRT and BLS certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based CT department serving diverse patient populations
- Night shift from Monday to Thursday, 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Call required one or two times (16-24 hours) every 6 weeks
- May be required to float to nearby facilities as needed
- 13-week assignment
- Uses Cerner EMR system with required experience
- Produce high-quality CT images following established protocols and under radiologist supervision
- Assist radiologists during procedures and supervise student technologists
- Practice radiation safety and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Assist with education and preparation of patients for imaging procedures
- Responsible for data entry, order verification, and effective communication with staff and patients
- Involves exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and radiation
- May be required to work weekends or holidays according to department needs
- 50-mile radius rule in effect; local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
- Assignment duration limited to one calendar year; 30-60 day break required before returning
- Active South Carolina or compact state license required if applicable
- Current ARRT Radiography (R) certification
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- South Carolina Radiation Quality Standard Association (SCRQSA) Radiographer Certification
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Allied Health or CT Program preferred
- Physical ability to frequently stand, walk, lift, move, and assist patients up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards
