Job Details:
• Work 5-8 hour shifts with room for negotiation up to a maximum of 4-10 hour shifts
• No rotating shift schedule
• 2-3 call shifts per month along with at least 1 holiday assignment
• Must have neurosurgery/neuroscience experience required
• Two years of experience required
• New York state licensing required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association ONLY required
• AART certification required
• VIR experience preferred but not required
• Select appropriate exposure factors and positioning to produce diagnostic quality radiologic images
• Administer oral contrast as needed per examination
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations
• Assist radiologist during procedures
• Operate all x-ray equipment, CR and DR systems competently
• Complete assigned procedures in timely manner
• Maintain medication security protocols
• Provide healthcare services to patients of all age groups
• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS
• Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel
