We are seeking a highly qualified Neurological Surgeon with expertise in Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology for a locum tenens position in southern Arizona, near Arivaca. This is an excellent opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a range of neurosurgical and endovascular procedures. Assignment Details Location: Near Arivaca, Arizona Start Date: February 10, 2025 End Date: May 5, 2025 Shift Details: Scheduled clinical hours plus on-call coverage Specialty Skills Required: General neurosurgery (adult and pediatric) Trauma surgery Endovascular procedures (e.g., aneurysm clipping, cerebrovascular surgery) Spinal surgeries (cervical, thoracic, lumbar with/without instrumentation) Skull base surgery and tumor resection Vent management and central line placement Schedule Highlights Coverage dates include: February 10 17, 2025 March 31 April 7, 2025 April 28 May 5, 2025 No holiday work is required beyond the assigned dates. Practice Environment Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient coverage (hospital privileges required) Patient Load: Low to none during assigned shifts (admissions and specific patient encounters TBD) Support Staff: None required during the assignment Candidate Requirements Licensure: Arizona or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Board Certification: Mandatory in Neurological Surgery Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days Additional Information EMR Systems Used: Athena (practice) and Cerner (hospital) Clean malpractice history is essential for consideration.
