Responsibilities

Valley Health Specialty Hospital is the first orthopedic surgery and inpatient rehabilitation facility in the Las Vegas area. The Valley Health Specialty Hospital is the first of its kind to offer both specialty orthopedics and inpatient rehab in one location.

Job Description: Pharmacy Technicians, under the supervision of a license pharmacist, assist in the various activities of the pharmacy
department. Pharmacy Technicians assist the pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the
drug inventory and maintenance of records. Pharmacy Technicians function in accordance with standard written
procedures, guidelines and state and federal regulations. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed
only by a registered pharmacist.


Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.


Experience: One (1) year experience preferred.

Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload, nursing narcotic access, etc.)

License/Certification: Current license as Pharmacy Technician in State of Nevada, Certification by the Pharmacy
Technician Certification Board or the National Healthcareer Association as a pharmacy
technician.
