Position Title: Accounting Specialist

Reports to: Sr. Accounting Manager- Fuel Operations

Job Type: Full Time

Status: Non-Exempt

Location: Onsite, Lawrenceville, GA

Pay Rate: $24.04/hr

 

The Accounting Specialist operating in the Wholesale Accounting Department will be responsible for invoicing all fuel deliveries for 4 wholesale companies, processing convenient store credit card transactions, completing accounts payable entries for fuel and freight payables, and the reconciliation of supplier EFTs for fuel and freight.

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post fuel and freight payable invoices
  • Reconcile bank recs for 4 companies
  • Contact vendors for paperwork
  • Collect money for past due invoices
  • Invoice monthly credit card and miscellaneous fees
  • Process chargebacks from credit card processors
  • Compile, analyze, and report financial information utilizing Majors policies, professional standards, and US GAAP
  • Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of and skill in using MS office suite, accounting software packages
  • Data entry experience; preferably in an accounting environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree or equivalent preferred
  • Relative experience in administrative support and accounting
