Candidates must hold active medical licensure, be experienced in advanced techniques, and be available for weekend shifts.
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for locum hospital call coverage. The provider will manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases, performing a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures. Ideal candidates are experienced with advanced endoscopic techniques and can work independently in a hospital-based setting.

Coverage Type: 24-hour hospital call (Saturday Sunday)
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
Practice Setting: Hospital call coverage (weekends only)

Required Procedures / Duties:
Esophageal Dilatation / Manometry & Interpretation
Small Bowel and Liver Biopsies
Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy, and Colonoscopy
Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)
Upper GI Endoscopy (diagnostic & therapeutic):
Biopsy
Foreign body removal
Cautery or laser for bleeder
Injection and banding of varices
PEG placement
ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic)
Management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
Average Volume: 8 procedures per weekend (GSI, Hepatology, RGA, Surgery, Colon, EGD, ERCP)
