A locum tenens Cardiology Electrophysiology Physician is needed near Atlanta, Georgia for a full-time inpatient position from February/March to Summer 2025, with potential renewal. The role involves performing complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures such as device implants and catheter ablations, managing 4-5 procedures and 5-6 consults daily, and working with multidisciplinary inpatient teams. The physician must be Board Certified with an active Georgia medical license and comfortable working flexible hours to complete necessary procedures.
The locum tenens Cardiology Electrophysiology need in Atlanta, Georgia
Location: an hour outside Atlanta, Georgia.
Duration: February/March - Summer 2025 with opportunity to renew
Schedule: Full-time need (will split fulltime, between two providers, 2-4 weeks per month)
Shift: Monday Friday, 7a-5p (8 hour days, but need flexibility to stay if needed to complete procedures) 5 days per week
Call: TBD
Patient volume: 4-5 procedures daily in each lab, 5-6 consults daily, 10-12 on the rounding service
Scope: Electrophysiology 100% Inpatient only
Required Procedures/cases: device implants including ICD, CRT, and Micra devices and complex cardiac catheter ablations including atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.
EMR: Epic
Hospital: 613 beds, Level I Trauma
Group/support: Inpatient APP s, Cardiology Fellows, Anesthesia support, Local provider will be admitting patients
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified, Active GA License
