How you’ll make an impact in this role
Deliver direct, patient-focused nursing care for endoscopy patients, including pre-procedure preparation, monitoring during sedation, and post-procedure recovery.
Implement and monitor individualized care plans, accurately documenting patient status and communicating changes to the care team.
Coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures and smooth discharge planning.
- 8-hour shifts with a variable start time between 6:30 AM – 10:00 AM; requires participation in a rotational on-call rotation covering M-F (6:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and 24-hour coverage on weekends and holidays.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job
transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
1 year direct care in endoscopy or procedural area, ED or ICU or 3 years Medical Surgical experience.
