Locum - Physician - Neurology Petoskey, MIOverview:Seeking a dedicated Neurologist to provide high-quality locum tenens coverage starting January 2026 in Petoskey, Michigan. Required Skills:- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
- Proficiency in EEG interpretation (inpatient and outpatient)
- Ability to perform Lumbar Punctures, Brain Death Examinations, Evoked Potentials, and Radiologic Exam Interpretations
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Comfortable providing hospital coverage and after-hours call support
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience with Cerner EMR system
- Prior outpatient and inpatient neurology experience
- Ability to perform additional procedures as needed
Preferred Education and Experience:- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active state medical license in Michigan or ability to obtain it
- Prior locum or outpatient neurology practice experience preferred
Other Requirements:- Starting January 1, 2026
- Ability to work days from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with outpatient clinics scheduled from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on select days
- Call coverage after hours, including night, holiday, and weekend shifts (24-hour on-call)
- Immunizations: Hep B, MMR, Varicella (series or immune titer), Flu vaccination, COVID documentation, TB test within 12 months, Tdap within the last 10 years
- Must utilize Kronos for clock-in/out; no timesheets accepted
- No third-party lodging arrangements; provider responsible for scheduling accommodations in compliance with site policies
Compensation for this position is per hour at an all-inclusive rate, with additional payments for orientation, overtime, holiday coverage, night and holiday on-call, callback, and conversion. The exact rate will be discussed during the hiring process and is not specified here.
