American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Clinical Decision/Observation Unit position requiring a compact or FL RN license and recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Observation Unit specializing in clinical decision and MS/Telemetry cases
- Teaching facility with 332 staffed beds
- Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 to 19:15
- Patient population includes acute care and telemetry cases; PCU patient experience is a plus
- Floating among three local hospitals within a 20-mile radius may be required
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Complete time-sensitive onboarding modules and annual training as assigned
- Standard white scrubs are required for this assignment
- Free parking is available in unrestricted spaces
- RTO (time off) requests must be submitted up front; changes are unlikely to be granted after submission
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates may extend assignments up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is generally required
- Orientation assessments allow for two attempts to pass required tests
- Active FL or compact RN license required prior to consideration
- Minimum of 18 months of recent acute care/telemetry RN experience required; 2 years preferred; prior PCU experience preferred
- Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (active at time of consideration), NIHSS (must be obtained prior to start)
- Must provide two recent supervisory references from the past 12 months in the specialty
- Negative 10-Panel drug screen with nicotine (cotinine) test required within 12 months of start
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required
- No open background cases or license incidents accepted
- Permanent and per diem candidates must have a 1-year gap before returning to Cleveland Clinic hospitals
