Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a home health assignment requiring recent hospice OT experience, BLS certification, and HCHB EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in a home health setting serving a geriatric population
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, five days per week
- Average caseload of 5-7 patients per day
- On-call required every 6th weekend
- Coverage area includes up to a 60-mile radius from office hub
- Requires use of HCHB (HomeCare HomeBase) EMR system
- iPad provided for documentation
- Mileage reimbursed at the IRS standard rate
- Dress code is scrubs of any color, no jeans allowed
- Timely documentation and effective communication are essential
- Flexibility with territory assignment is expected
- Position serves primarily geriatric patients in a home health environment
- Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between patient homes
- No cell phone provided for work use
- Professional scrubs required as dress code
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent hospice OT experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Proficiency with HCHB EMR required
- Ability to travel within a 60-mile radius
- Locals not accepted
- First-time travelers not accepted
