Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse) in the state of Mississippi or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Advanced NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Fetal Monitoring certification
• Permanent address must be 50+ miles from the healthcare facility
• All certifications must be submitted with application

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Monitor and assess mothers and infants throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments
• Utilize fetal monitoring equipment and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
