Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University is seeking a full time AP/CP Pathologist; NYS COQ strongly desired.

The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, as well as skilled nursing facilities, community and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields. The network employs more than 500 full-time salaried physicians and advanced practice clinicians who focus on patient centered care.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Replace a retiring member of an established group of five pathologists covering the Anatomic and Clinical Pathology needs of the entire integrated network
• Primary duties are anatomic pathology sign-out.
• General practice including minor teaching responsibilities and directorship of outlying network laboratory
• Approximately 20,000 surgical cases and 10,000 Cytopathology cases (2,000 non-gyn) examined annually with the support of Pathologist s Assistants and Cytotechnologists
• Annual Salary: $375,000. This compensation represents Bassett Healthcare s good faith belief of the compensation at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
• Sign-on Bonus up to $100,000

Job Qualifications

• MD, DO or MBBS
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• BLS Certification Required
• Possession of or ability to obtain NYS Licensure and NYS certificate of qualification (COQ)
