Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma and robotic surgery proficiency for a travel contract in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Patient population includes trauma and surgery patients across multiple specialties, including robotics, ortho, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, and thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart)
• Work schedule is day shifts (4x10 hours) from 7:00 to 17:30
• Requires 3-4 weekend shifts and 2-3 call shifts within a 6-week schedule; calls require 30-minute callback response
• Holidays may be assigned and could fall on day, evening, or night shifts
• EPIC EMR experience is heavily preferred
• Duties include both scrubbing and circulating for surgeries utilizing robotic technology
• Could deliver care for COVID patients
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Up to 7 days RTO allowed per contract
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility; local candidates are considered at a lower rate
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required per unit needs
• Pre-employment modules must be completed before starting and typically require 5-6 hours
• No floating required within the facility

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license with no hits
• Minimum of 3 years Operating Room RN experience
• Must have Level I trauma experience; must have at least one year of Level II trauma experience if no Level I
• Prior travel experience required
• Must be proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles for robotic general, GYN, thoracic, and urology surgeries
• Proficiency with the Da Vinci Xi robot required; familiarity with DV5 Da Vinci robot is a plus
• Must be able to function independently in a wide range of specialties
• Certifications must be AHA or ARC only
