About the Position
LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Kentucky!
We are seeking a Hospitalist for a 49-day locum tenens assignment in Kentucky beginning Mar 9, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, including rounding and patient follow-up, with scheduled stretches throughout the spring and summer. Physicians should be comfortable managing ventilators and occasionally caring for pediatric and ICU patients in the absence of intensivists.

- Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7AM-7AM), with rounding typically in the mornings; assignments include Mar 9-23 (14 days), Apr 13-20 (7 days), May 11-18 (7 days), Jun 8-15 (7 days), and Jun 29-Jul 13 (14 days)
Responsibilities and Duties- Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, responding promptly to patient consults
- Conduct daily rounding and patient follow-ups
- Manage adult and occasional pediatric and ICU patients
- Utilize ventilators as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech EHR
Additional Information- Kentucky license required
- Board certification in Internal Medicine and Hospital Medicine required
- Minimum of a few years’ experience preferred
- Must be comfortable with all covered patient populations and clinical scenarios
