Registered Nurse - Neurological Unit

Job Description

An exciting opportunity awaits as you start your career on a specialized neurological unit. This is an excellent unit to learn about various neurological diseases while utilizing your nursing and critical thinking skills. Work with our interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment caring for patients with stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, and more! Being a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in our region, we see many acute and complex patients. As a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, we work with a specialty team to evaluate, diagnose, and treat seizures using state-of-the-art continuous video EEG technology. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team that values nurses' skills, talents, and compassion for our patient population.

Schedule

Rotating shifts including days, evenings, and nights with weekends and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of nursing experience required
• Current RN License (New York only)
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required
• Telemetry experience required
• NIHSS certification preferred

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
