Job Details:
• Work as an Operating Room nurse with rotating call responsibilities
• 1 weeknight call and rotating weekend call approximately every 5th weekend
• Must have minimum 3 years experience in Operating Room
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate cases
• Strong circulator skills required, scrubbing not required
• Need to be very comfortable with total joint cases and orthopedic procedures
• Will circulate C-sections and assist with turning rooms, cleaning, and picking cases
• DaVinci robot experience preferred
• Must have prior travel experience
• Required to take MOAB training if not already certified in CPI or MOAB ($150 cost)
• Must maintain positive attitude and be a team player
• Expected to hit the ground running with minimal orientation
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Flexible orientation start day with brief hospital orientation followed by department competency check-offs
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association)
• Must complete specialty competency exam with 80% passing rate
• Various health screenings and documentation required including TB, immunizations, and background checks
Facility:
This rural hospital operates 4 OR suites plus additional rooms for minor procedures, serving as a comprehensive surgical center for the community. The facility features visiting physicians who hold clinics for specialties including ENT and orthopedics, and performs a high volume of orthopedic cases. The hospital maintains modern surgical equipment and emphasizes teamwork in a smaller department setting where staff members support multiple aspects of perioperative care.
