The Nurse Practitioner in Neonatology provides specialized care for newborn and premature infants by performing physical exams, developing care plans, and administering treatments. This role requires collaboration with healthcare teams and communication with patients' families to ensure optimal neonatal health outcomes. Candidates must hold a current North Carolina NP license and have certification in Neonatal Advanced Practice Nursing.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Neonatology department in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to our newborn and premature infant patients.
Responsibilities:- Conduct physical exams and medical assessments on neonatal patients
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress
- Provide education and support to patients' families
- Current NP license in the state of North Carolina (or willing to get)
- Certification in Neonatal Advanced Practice Nursing
- Previous experience in neonatal care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
