Travel Nursing Job Details

• Location: Greer, South Carolina (29651)
• Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 6, 2026
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:00), 3 shifts per week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Float Requirement: May float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units
• On-call/Extra Shifts: 2 on-call or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted; must be obtained before start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI
• Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication tests on first day of orientation
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Must be able to pass a fit test (shaving may be required)
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Must be able to provide all requested time off at submission
• Travel nurses must live at least 75 miles from facility

Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; manage telemetry equipment
• Administer medications; manage IVs, central lines, and cardiac drips (no titration)
• Perform wound care, tracheostomy care, and manage feeding tubes and oxygen therapy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies
• Participate in on-call or extra shifts as required
