- Provide care for laboring patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum.
- Nursing duties during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including monitoring, assisting the provider, and supporting patient comfort.
- Respond to patient needs during labor, induction, and delivery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- EPIC Stork for electronic charting and patient documentation.
- Centricity fetal monitoring system to monitor maternal and fetal status.
- Pyxis medication system for secure medication administration.
- Standard hospital equipment for labor, delivery, and neonatal care.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
- Strong assessment, monitoring, and delivery assistance skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- RN license (Indiana or compact RN required).
- BLS through American Heart Association.
- ACLS (AHA only).
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.
- Weekends: Every 3rd weekend.
- No call requirement.
- Work alongside shift nurse lead and ~7 L&D RNs.
- Typically 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, may be 1:2 for early labor or induction.
