The Oncology - Radiation Physician provides specialized radiation therapy treatment to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, managing 10-15 patients per shift using advanced techniques such as IMRT, SBRT, and brachytherapy. The physician is responsible for treatment planning, clinical coverage including call duties, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, dosimetrists, physicists, and therapists. Board certification, state licensure, and hospital privileges are required to ensure high-quality clinical care and compliance with medical standards.

- Schedule: 02/11 orientation 8a-4p, 02/12 & 02/13 regular 7a-4p, 02/16-21 7a-4p regular, 4p-7a call (ending 7a 02/22)
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call

- Call Response Time Required: 30 minutes

- Support Staff: 1 Radiation Oncologist, 2 RNs, 2 Nurse Navigators, 2 Dosimetrists, 1 Physicist, 5 Therapists, 2 Clerical
- Patients Per Shift: 10-15
- Trauma Level: 2
- Techniques Required: Brachytherapy, External Beam Therapy (EBRT), Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
- Treatment Planning: Conventional Treatment Planning, Beam Shaping (MLC), 3D CRT, IMRT, PET CT or MRI Image Fusion, Electronic Portal Imaging (EPI)
Requirements
- Board Certification: Required
- Fellowship Preferred
- License: Must be licensed in MI
- ACLS
- Hospital/Surgery Center Privileges Required
- Temporary Privileges Available
- Is Hospital Stroke Certified
