Locum Tenens Opportunity: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Near Tacoma, WA (ASAP - Ongoing) Job ID: j-244697 We are seeking two Internal Medicine Cardiologists for locum tenens positions near Tacoma, WA, starting as soon as possible. This role involves providing supplemental coverage for both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidates will have a background in cardiology and be available to work 1-2 weeks per month. This position requires both scheduled clinical hours and call coverage. Position Details: Specialty: Internal Medicine - Cardiology Provider Type: Physician Start Date: ASAP (January 2025) End Date: Ongoing Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call EMR System: Epic Key Responsibilities: Practice Setting: Provide cardiology services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Work in a facility that is hospital stroke certified. Schedule & Availability: Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Call Coverage: Varies based on schedule; may include nights and weekends depending on the need. Details to be determined based on provider availability and skill set. Patients Per Shift: 12-18 Rounding: N/A Bed In Department: To be determined Requirements: Board Certification: Required; fellowship preferred. Licensure: Must be licensed in Washington or eligible through IMLC. Certifications: ACLS: Required. ABLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS: Not required. Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days. Privileges: Hospital/surgery center privileges required; temporary privileges are not available. Additional Notes: Clean Record: Providers must have a clean malpractice history. We will not accept candidates with prior malpractice cases or any affirmative answers on their attestation related to malpractice. Reimbursement: The facility will not reimburse for licensing costs.
