A full-time Surgical Oncologist role is available at a 145-bed general acute care hospital offering advanced specialty healthcare services. The position involves clinical and operating room responsibilities, including tumor removal and biopsies, with support from modern surgical technology such as the DaVinci Xi robot. This Medical Center is actively recruiting a full-time Oncology Surgeon (Surgical Oncologist) to join our established surgical team. As a 145-bed general acute care hospital, we are the largest full-service regional medical center between Boise, Idaho, and Spokane, Washington. With a Level III Trauma Center and more than 100 board certified physicians and providers in both primary care and specialty disciplines, we deliver advanced-level specialty healthcare to ensure every patient, and their loved ones, have everything they need to feel comforted, every step of their journey.
About the position:
- Schedule: M-F 36h patient facing 4h/wk. admin time
- 2 days clinic and 2-3 days OR
- 60 patients week in clinic
- Call: 1:4 10 days/month in contract; not required to be in-house
- Eligible for additional pay for call over 10 days/month
- Clinic call requirement: telephone only
- Typical surgeries may include tumor removal, biopsy, diagnostic, colorectal, melanoma, etc.
- DaVinci Xi robot and seven ORs
Qualifications:
- BE/BC in General Surgery
- Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of ID and DEA with full prescriptive authority
- Completion of fellowship training in Complex General Surgical Oncology at an ACGME-accredited program highly desired
