Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU / PCU)
Location: Utica, NY 13502
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: Days | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
(Block scheduling not guaranteed)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide intermediate-level nursing care to adult patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions
Monitor and manage patients with diagnoses including COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV step-down, and post-operative recovery
Operate and manage specialty equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP, and chronic ventilators (RT support available)
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective patient care
Accurately document care and patient status using Epic EMR
Float within scope to meet unit and facility needs
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of recent IMCU/PCU nursing experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Experience caring for adult patients in a high-acuity step-down or intermediate care setting
Ability to float as needed
Current Certifications:
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with neuro and cardiac step-down patient populations
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Experience managing chronic ventilator patients
