A full-time Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Physician is sought to join an eight-physician practice at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, managing a Level-III NICU with 60 beds and approximately 1,000 annual admissions. The role involves rotating 8 and 24-hour shifts, collaborating with residents and nurse practitioners, and participating in quality improvement and research in a supportive environment. Board certification in Pediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Kansas licensure (or willingness to obtain), and DEA certification are required.
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Neonatologist to join our well-respected and established Neonatology practice in the vibrant city of Wichita, KS. Our team is looking for a professional interested in a dynamic quality improvement (QI) team-based management role within a supportive and engaging environment at a top-tier facility. Job Responsibilities:- Full-time BC/BE Neonatologist position available.
- Contribute to an 8-physician practice at Wesley Medical Center.
- Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, with an estimated 170 hours per month of in-house coverage.
- Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
- Manage a Level-III, 60-bed NICU serving approximately 6,000 deliveries each year.
- Address around 1,000 admissions annually, with an average daily census of 54 in intensive and special care units.
- Deliver comprehensive services, excluding ECMO and heart surgery.
- Collaborate with residents and nurse practitioners in a supportive clinical setting.
- Engage with the KU School of Medicine Wichita for extensive QI and research opportunities.
- Open to new Fellow graduate candidates if already Board Certified in Pediatrics.
- Visa support available for J1 and H1B candidates.
- Board Certified in Pediatrics (Required).
- Board Eligible within 5 years of fellowship or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required).
- Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain) (Required).
- Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (Required).
- Clean malpractice and license history (Highly Preferred).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start) (Required).
- Kansas medical license or willingness to obtain.
- Board Certification in Pediatrics is mandatory.
- Completion of fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required prior to start.
- DEA certification must be obtained before starting the position.
