- Other details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. There are an average of 12-15 patients per shift. The opportunity requires a full-time Hematology/Oncology locum working five shifts per week, four weeks per month, with guaranteed eight-hour days including a one-hour lunch and overtime applied after eight hours pending pre approval from the clinic manager; a read-study rate may replace overtime for up to two hours if justified. Call is one week out of every three, with regular clinic hours during the day, evening phone-only call on weekdays, and 24-hour phone-only call on weekends, with no call-backs expected. Patients are typically scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Requirements include a clean file to expedite the start date, at least two years of recent hospital clinical activity in the specialty, explanation of any gaps over three months, relevant case logs for surgical specialties, an active CA license, two years of recent inpatient activity to qualify for privileges, and the ability to work within a cancer program managing approximately 500 analytic cases annually.
