A healthcare system in New York City is currently seeking a licensedThoracic Surgeon to join their growing team in Brooklyn. In this role, the Thoracic Surgeon will be responsible forperforming a variety of surgical procedures to treat thoracic and cardiothoracic conditions.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

TheThoracic Surgeonwill:

• Diagnose and evaluate conditions that affect the chest, including lung cancer, esophageal disorders, mediastinal tumors, pleural diseases, and congenital heart defects
• Assess the patient's overall health before surgery, discussthe risks and benefits of the procedure, and obtaininformed consent
• Communicate with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
• Board Eligible / Certified
