We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 240-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California. This role begins Jan 5, 2026, and features a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts, rotating Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays off. You will join an established patient panel, delivering outpatient care across all age groups and supporting a broad range of chronic and acute conditions.

- Schedule: 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week, with a rotation of Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday off each week
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide outpatient care for acute and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, COPD, asthma, substance use disorders (via MaT program), minor injuries, and wound care
- Deliver pediatric, geriatric, and behavioral health care, including immunizations and management of depression and anxiety
- Conduct wellness exams and preventive screenings
- Manage chronic diseases and coordinate referrals and specialty care, including telehealth
- Deliver culturally sensitive care for the Native community
- Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, prevention, and self-management
- Accurately document care in the electronic health record
- Support after-hours urgent care needs as required
- Collaborate with lab, pharmacy, and other departments to ensure appropriate follow-up
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to PCMH standards
Additional Information
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
- Must be licensed to practice in California
- Board certification not required
