This locum tenens physician role in South Carolina requires a board-certified hematology-oncology doctor with at least two years of experience to manage cancer patients, including diagnosis explanation, treatment planning, and symptom management. The role involves performing medical procedures such as infusions, transfusions, and bone marrow biopsies, seeing 2-16 patients daily, and taking on-call duties from Friday evening to Monday morning. The physician will also handle basic administrative tasks like electronic health record documentation.
An exciting hematology-oncology physician opportunity is available in South Carolina. The candidate must be board-certified and has a minimum of 2 years of experience. The physician will see 2-16 patients a day. Call from Friday 5 pm-Monday 7 am. The physician must have the ability to work with patients to explain a diagnosis and stage of cancer, discuss treatment options, and manage side effects and symptoms of cancer and treatment. Coordinate treatment plans and prescribes various types of treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Assists patients with pain management. Perform basic administrative and clerical tasks, i.e. documentation in EHR. Procedures include Infusion, Transfusion, and Bone Marrow Biopsy.
