The RN will work 36 hours per week rotating through shifts in a facility with 18 dialysis chairs and manage patient care including assessments and coordination with dialysis techs. Assignment Length: 16 - 32 weeks
Scheduling: 8+10 hr. D/E rotation with usual shift times 5:30a-2p, 5:30a-4p, 11a-9:30p and 11:30am to 10pm. They do not double back, no one would get off at 10pm and need to return at 0530
Unit: Outpatient Chronic Dialysis

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 Years Experience with Chronic Outpatient Dialysis
- VT or Compact License
- Must be willing to float to other locations; this will not be expected to happen often if at all, but they must be able to
- could float to St. Albans w/Berlin w/notice. Needs dependable vehicle

Typical Day: Ratios can be 3:1, but sometimes 4:1 for take offs. Techs get patient’s weight, take VS, and place info in computer. RN assesses pt. Comes up with a goal. Tech and RN have a golden moment, which is a double check of MD order. Then tech will cannulate and hook pt. up to machine. Tech will place Heparin in machine but does not draw up Heparin. Techs Do NOT access catheters. We are an 18-chair unit. Usually MWF we have 3 shifts, open at 0530 and closing at 10pm. TTS we have 2 shifts. Open 0530 and close 1700. We have Fresenius T machines. Techs draw and process labs. That will be trained. Computer training provided on the job. Techs do not have a lot to chart. Mostly VS, weights, and access type.
