This weekday-only, no-call assignment is initially for six months with potential extension or permanent placement.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with experience in primary care. The selected physician will provide on-site, full-time medical services to an adult male population in a secure correctional healthcare environment.
This role offers a weekday-only schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call coverage. The position may extend based on performance, operational need, and mutual fit, with the potential to transition to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality medical care to patients in accordance with nationally recognized standards and within the scope of licensure.
• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, examinations, and follow-up assessments.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic illnesses, including medication management.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, and document all findings in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Refer patients for specialized care as needed.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings and peer review activities.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable medical, ethical, and institutional standards.
• Manage a caseload averaging up to 2.5 patients per hour.
Required Qualifications:
• Active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• DEA certification (or eligibility to obtain).
• Master s or Doctoral degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical institution.
• Minimum 6 months of recent relevant clinical experience.
