The Bakery Manager oversees bakery production to ensure product quality and compliance with safety and sanitation standards, while leading and developing a team. They manage quality control throughout all stages of production and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize operations and reduce waste. The role requires strong leadership, communication skills, and experience in food manufacturing or baking environments.
Bakery Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee afternoon/evening bakery production to ensure consistent, high-quality products and full compliance with safety, sanitation, GMP, and cleanliness standards.
- Lead, schedule, staff, train, and develop the bakery team while maintaining accountability, strong communication, and a safe, supportive work environment.
- Manage quality control across proofing, baking, finishing, picking, packaging, and afternoon deliveries; support operational planning to optimize labor and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with bakery leadership, Logistics, and cross-functional teams; participate in management meetings and uphold Tatte’s mission, values, and crisis management procedures.
Bakery Manager Skills & Requirements:
- 1–2 years of managerial experience overseeing 20+ employees in a high-volume or food manufacturing environment; strong communication, time-management, multitasking abilities, and a positive, team-focused leadership style.
- Ability (or willingness to learn) to operate bakery production equipment, with familiarity in GMP standards, bakery or food-manufacturing workflows, and building/developing high-performance teams; Spanish language skills a strong plus.
- Preferred: 1–3 years of baking or food production experience and prior leadership in a high-volume facility.
