Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with strong specialty experience and TX or compact RN license for a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Position located in a hospital-based Operating Room
• Handles cases in general, neuro, ortho, trauma, and robotics
• Works a hybrid rotating schedule, alternating between 6:30am-5:00pm and 10:30am-9:00pm (4x10 hour shifts)
• Call and holiday coverage is required
• Fast-paced and high-acuity surgical setting
• Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing in a variety of complex surgical specialties
• Must be able to adapt to evolving case mix and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team
• Holiday and call coverage are expected and will be assigned as part of the role

Requirements

• Active TX or compact state RN license
• Five years of OR RN experience preferred; strong specialty experience will be considered
• Experience in general, neuro, ortho, trauma, or robotics surgery required
• Current required certifications must be maintained and available
• Two references from supervisors within the past three years of employment
