Job Title: Registered Nurse – Intermediate Intensive Care Unit (IMC / IICU)
Location: Columbia, SC
Prisma Health Richland Hospital
Duration: Contract (Duration TBD)
Shift:
• 12-hour shifts (Days or Nights – per facility need)
• Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Floating required within scope and documented competencies (13 weeks contract)
Provide advanced nursing care to adult trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology patients in an Intermediate Intensive Care setting
Manage patient assignments with a 1:3 ratio requiring frequent assessments and interventions every 1–2 hours
Perform continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips and respond to clinical emergencies
Care for patients requiring ventilator support and collaborate with multidisciplinary critical care teams
Active South Carolina RN license or Compact/Multi-State RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with prior ICU or IICU experience
At least one completed travel assignment required
Critical care experience with acuity of 1:3 or higher
Minimum 1 year of EPIC charting experience
Ability to float to qualified units or campuses as needed
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Experience in Progressive Care, IMC, DOU, Stepdown, or ICU environments
Trauma center or teaching hospital experience
Strong cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and emergency response skills
