The Gastroenterology Physician is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract through outpatient clinics, inpatient rounding, and specialized procedures such as colonoscopy and ERCP. The role requires board certification or eligibility, completion of accredited internal medicine and gastroenterology training, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team. Summary:-
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologist to join a growing, collaborative medical group. Candidates with experience, specialized expertise, or a strong interest in gastroenterology are encouraged to apply. Recently trained fellows are also welcome, as flexibility and support are available.
This role includes a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient rounding, and procedural responsibilities. The physician will participate in an evening and weekend call rotation, shared among a team of Gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers.
Key Responsibilities:-
- Evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, treatment, and management of diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, including:
- Esophagus, Stomach, Small and large intestine, Liver, Pancreas, Gallbladder and biliary system
- Performing gastrointestinal procedures, including:
- Colonoscopy, Upper endoscopy
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
Qualifications:-
- Valid Wisconsin medical license (or eligibility)
- Board eligible or board certified through:
- American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
