Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring a compact or OH license, ICU background, and proficiency with Epic.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Surgical ICU within an oncology-focused hospital setting
- Treats adult patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, shock states, stroke, ARDS, and post-craniotomy
- Handles advanced procedures such as external ventricular drain management, ICP monitoring, massive transfusion protocol, CRRT, and ventilator support
- Rotating day and night shifts with 3x12 hour scheduling
- Uses Epic for electronic medical records; prior experience with Epic is required
- Primary responsibilities include the care of critically ill adult oncology and surgical patients
- Must be skilled in managing ventilators, vasopressors, tracheostomies, and complex monitoring systems
- Team-based environment with support from multi-disciplinary staff
- This position requires attention to detail in managing advanced life support procedures and continuous critical assessments
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Oncology experience preferred but not required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment
