Required Skills:
- Active Oregon Medical License and DEA certification
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM); hospice experience preferred
- Extensive experience in hospice care, especially for FM or IM physicians
- Proven ability to handle complex symptom management, crisis visits, and crisis admits
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
- Willingness to work both onsite and via telehealth, with potential onsite requirements in the future
- Strong understanding of hospice protocols, patient advocacy, and end-of-life care
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with telehealth services
- Experience working in a combined inpatient and outpatient hospice setting
- BLS certification
- Familiarity with cross-location shared call responsibilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- At least 2+ years of experience in hospice and palliative care
- Comfort with flexible scheduling, including call nights, weekends, and varied patient acuity
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work approximately 8 hours per day, with overtime applying after 9 hours
- Willingness to participate in shared call duties, including some evenings, nights, and weekends
- Eligible for travel reimbursements, licensure, and certification renewals as applicable
- Demonstrated adaptability to shift between onsite and telehealth modalities based on operational needs
