The organization provides important medical evaluation services across multiple locations in California, supporting the VA's mission to serve veterans.

General Medicine Provider - Veterans Evaluation Services
Job Details:
• Multiple locations available: Santa Rosa (1 day/week), Ukiah (2 days/week), Susanville (1 day/week), Crescent City (2 days/week), Ft. Irwin (1 day/week), and Sonora area (1 day/week)• Provider's home address must be within specified mile radius of location (generally 50 miles)• Some positions require provider to have their own office• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• Performing one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment involved• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Suitable for providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products allowed)• Requires active and unrestricted full California license• AANP certification required• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• Not eligible for providers who are active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
