Opportunity:

Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

• Work 4x9 day shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 10 on-call shifts per month required: 1 Friday per month, 6 Monday-Thursday calls per month, and 3 24-hour weekend call shifts per month
• No additional weekend requirements beyond call shifts
• Handle 5 cases per day with adult and geriatric patient population
• Work in 2-room cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT or RCIS, MD Board of Physicians certification
• Must have 2 years experience with diagnostic cardiac cath lab, interventional cardiac cath lab, ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, left heart catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), right heart catheterization, and temporary pacemaker procedures
• Preferred experience in electrophysiology (EP) lab, interventional radiology, and special procedures including insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion, and cardiac ablation
• Must demonstrate competency in accurate monitoring, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, access site preparation, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulation, sterile field maintenance, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• 1 prior travel assignment required
• Ceil blue scrubs provided by unit
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
