RN Endovascular Neurosurgery

Job Details:

• Specialized procedural nursing role in new Neuro Endovascular department
• Assist with LVO stroke cases and cerebral aneurysm repairs with Endovascular trained Neurologist
• Call schedule required every other week
• Experience mandatory in Neuro Interventions, Cath Lab, or Cardiovascular Operating room circulation
• ICU experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), moderate sedation training
• South Carolina or Multistate nursing license required
• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data analysis
• Plan and provide individualized nursing care meeting holistic, age-specific patient needs
• Implement nursing interventions consistent with Plan of Care and practice standards
• Maintain professional image and demonstrate excellent customer relations
• Utilize health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff
• Perform Patient Safety Initiatives including patient identification and effective communication
• Execute physician orders and complete nursing handoff procedures
• Complete procedural paperwork including consent forms and pre/post procedure checklists
• Maintain patient privacy and medical record security in accordance with HIPAA
• Reconcile and administer patient medications per policies and procedures
• Administer blood and blood products following established protocols
• Manage crash cart, rapid response, and end-of-life care situations
• Provide care involving moderate sedation, contrast injection, and sheath removal
• Operate patient equipment and physiological monitoring systems in procedure suite
• Perform procedural aseptic scrubbing and technique
