Travel or Local Tele RN Job in Birmingham , Alabama

Night shift with hands-on telemetry experience and direct physician support. Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) — Nights (7P) in Birmingham, AL. Full-time travel or local contract role; assess, implement, and evaluate cardiac/telemetry patient care; administer meds and assist with procedures. - Active RN license (AL or compact) - Telemetry/ECG monitoring experience - Medication administration experience - Ability to work nights (7P shift) - BLS; ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

Telemetry RNs (Tele RNs) consult with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. The Tele RN utilizes machines that measure a patient’s heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, as well as blood oxygen levels and electrocardiogram information. Tele RN job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Tele RNs prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications and report an adverse reaction to medications in accordance with policies
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examination and treatment of patient
• Identify irregular telemetry readings and notify the appropriate medical team member
• Monitor specialized equipment used on patients and interpret electronic displays
