As a Pharmacy Technician focused on prior authorizations, you will support Mercy Primary Care clinics by accurately processing requests and collaborating with providers and insurance companies. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to electronic, verbal, and manual prior authorization requests with accuracy and efficiency.
Verify active prescription insurance through chart review or eligibility searches.
Communicate with clinics to obtain missing information needed for prior authorizations.
Handle incoming calls from insurance companies regarding prior authorization inquiries.
