- 85 of that are ortho

• Physicians in Practice: 6 ortho (including hand & feet), 3 gyn & 1 general if needed (when 0 ortho cases)
• Other APPs in Practice: None
• Case Mix: ORIFs, open and robotic assisted total joints (knee, hip, shoulder), arthroscopies (knee, shoulder and ankle), IM nailing, DHS, external fixation, amputation.
• Duties:
- Surgical assistance for orthopedics including closing and rounding on post op patients as needed.
- Could assist with other specialties if there are no ortho cases.
- The surgical assistance will be mainly for elective cases but there could be add-on cases that have come through the ED.
- PA can follow-up on patients, however, it is the physicians responsibility to assess patients and sign off on documentation.
• Required Procedures:
- All orthopedic procedures including ORIFs, total joints (knees, hips and shoulders). Also, acetabular fractures required.
• EMR: Cerner and PACS (eMedPortal)

- No trauma since we are not a designated trauma center.
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements:
• Active CA License
• BC
• Local/No flights (highly preferred)
