American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma Emergency Department position requiring PA or compact RN licensure and ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities- Position is in a 74-bed Emergency Department at a Level I Trauma Center
- Patient populations include trauma, stroke, cardiac, and behavioral health cases
- Includes care in the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU), a 22-bed ED expansion with telemetry and negative pressure rooms
- Floating between ED and ETCU as needed is required
- Shift is 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with every 3rd weekend and holidays as needed
- No call requirements and blocked scheduling is not permitted
- Clinical fit will be assessed by internal review and manager interview
- Responsibilities include providing emergency care as well as support for inpatient holds in ETCU
- Opportunity for med/surg nurses to be cross-trained for ED-specific tasks
- May care for patients with COVID-19
- Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
- Maximum of 7 days for requested time off will be considered
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
