Full-Time Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Ohio
Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, Board-Certified PMHNP to join our dedicated healthcare team on a full-time basis. This position focuses exclusively on providing Psychiatric care to adult patients, primarily in a inpatient psychiatric treatment setting. The anticipated schedule is 5 days per week, with shared call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our psychiatric physicians to deliver comprehensive psychiatric medical care.
- Conduct Psychiatric Admitting Evaluations for newly admitted patients.
- Make treatment recommendations and ensure appropriate orders are implemented.
- Perform psychiatric rounding in our inpatient settings, supporting our Psychiatrist with weekly med-checks.
- Possible PHP and IOP coverage.
- Document patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in medical records.
- Participate in utilization reviews with insurance companies.
- Provide discharge recommendations and prescriptions for psychiatric medications.
- Respond to emergency needs or crisis situations as necessary.
Requirements:
- PhD or Master s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/APRN in Ohio or willingness to obtain.
- Board Certified through the ANCC as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatric and Mental Health.
- Current National DEA Certificate.
