What We’re Looking For:

  • ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • Prior acute care experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
What We're Looking For:

Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.  Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography or Sonography Program; or CAAHEP-recognized Sonography Program, required.

Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in sonography, preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration (required): NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in Sonography or certified and registered by ARDMS in a minimum of one specialty - RT(S) or ARDMS within 6 months of hire.

What You'll Do:

The Sonographer I Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. The sonographer assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the ultrasound equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in the acute setting. The sonographer is responsible for inpatient, outpatient, the emergency department & the operating room procedures to include biopsies, drainages, paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
