Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications and at least 2 years of CT experience for day/evening shifts.
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based setting with diagnostic imaging services
- Work 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Responsible for performing diagnostic CT procedures and related techniques
- May perform radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable radiographic exams if assigned
- Adult patient population
- Duties include administering x-radiation, preparing and educating patients, and operating imaging equipment
- Must be able to start and maintain intravenous access and administer contrast media as appropriate
- Assists with patient positioning and immobilization for optimal imaging
- May be required to flex hours, work holidays, or take call as needed to meet department needs
- Expected to practice standard precautions and ensure patient safety throughout procedures
- Provides practical instruction for students and new team members
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- Minimum of 2 years CT experience required
- Current ARRT Radiography (R) and ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certifications required
- IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
- Current BLS certification required
- State license required if applicable
