Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN for night shifts with Epic charting experience and the ability to float as needed.
Responsibilities
- Short-term acute care hospital setting on a telemetry unit
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
- Care for adults and geriatrics with total joint replacements, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetes, medical COVID, and oral surgery cases
- Average daily census is 16 with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
- Required to float between units at two locations as needed
- Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
- Every third weekend work requirement
- Some orientation will take place outside typical contract shifts
- Light gray or silver scrubs required
- Free parking is available in the parking lot
- No more than 7 days of requested time off are allowed per 13-week contract, and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Holiday coverage required as scheduled
- Travelers may stay in this assignment for up to 18 months before a 3-month break is required
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Epic charting experience is required
- No local candidates within a 75-mile radius are eligible
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
