Med/Surg Telemetry RN Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient care skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced hospital setting

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and post-hospital care
• Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic medical record (EMR)
